Up for auction is a great movie inspired by a true story, that of Chris Gardner, a self-made millionaire who got his start by winning an internship for a real estate stockbroker, while caring for his son. He had invested his money in selling bone density scanners which were difficult to sell to pay his rent. Gardner does whatever it takes to provide for his son. He gets evicted from his apartment twice, takes his son out of daycare, and ends up staying the night in homeless shelters and once even in the bathroom of a metro station. This heartwarming film really shows what poverty was like in San Francisco in 1981.

This used DVD has light, small scratches, so I will say it is in good condition, and plays perfectly. This is the full screen edition. This is one of Will Smith and Jaden Smith's best performances and a breakout role for Jaden Smith. (The only reason I am parting ways with this copy, is that was later able to buy the widescreen version. This DVD has had one previous owner besides me). This film could soon become your favorite, its one of mine.
