Description

The listing, REDBUD TREE pods has ended.

Although winter officially ended March 21, flowering redbuds unofficially mark the beginning of spring.

One of redbud's unique features is that its flowers appear before the leaves in spring. Reaching 15 to 20 feet, Eastern redbud is just the right size for smaller yards.

Redbud's seed pods give away its pea family lineage. The beautiful flowers are pollinated by bees.

Vegetable gardeners and foodies can add the edible flowers to salads or even ice cream.

Although redbud grows underneath taller forest trees in the wild, it tends to do better in full sun in urban or suburban areas.

I'm pretty sure they can. These were born and raised in Arkansas and have survived the heat and a Winter Ice Storm.
