already a fan and watching. Adorable. Love the Cabbage Patch dolls. My friend has an original one, before they started to go big and had the rubber type faces. Her Mother lived next door to the man who invented them (can't think of his name right now.) Her Mother helped put them together and and also sewd the dresses for them. This was done in his garage.

Yes Coleco was based in Amsterdam NY. My mother and grandmother hand picked 2 dolls for my sister and I. Both dolls are doing well and put away. :)

That is so cool. I have become slightly interested in CPK in general from accumulating them in storage auctions. From my research I thought they originated from a town in Ga. I would love to see what your doll looks like if that is possible!!

This doll is made by playalong- coleco made them in the 80's, then hasbro made them briefly in the 90's.
