The listing, Ipod touch 1st gen has ended.

1st Gen. Has some minor damage. Scratches. etc. Look at all the pictures. I have photographed all of it. Will come with a new charging cord. I will also include a purple cover if you want it. I won it off here and it arrived broke. It works well to cover the front screen even tho that isn't what it is used for. I have a jelly purple cover also. Just let me know if you want them.

I bought this used. Has worked fine for me. I prefer the classic ipod, so that is what I am going back to.

Thank you!! It is in great shape for being an older model, but it still has a few scratches and dings. My husband does computer repair, and he helps one of our local pawn shops with their computers, so this was a bonus one day. I enjoyed it for a bit, but the internet used the battery. The numbers in the serial number "747" (3rd, 4th & 5th digits) tell me that it was made the 47th week (4th & 5th digits) of the year 2007 (3rd digit) if that's helpful or anything

and for the people above asking if it a 2nd gen, it's not. It's a 100% genuine 1st gen due to how the wifi antenna is shaped (the black piece in the upper-left hand corner on the back) the 2nd gen iPod touches have a round, stretched circle. This is a total iPod touch 1st gen and also the iPod touch 2G didn't come out until summer 2008 for production.

If the ios (version) in settings (go to >settings then >about, scroll down to version) is ios "3.1.3", then it's a first gen. If it's on ios "4.2.1", then it's a 2nd gen. Chances are it's a first gen with iOS 3.1.3

There's not a huge difference between 1 & 2nd gen. Basically, 2nd gen has speakers. That's about it. Well, I'm out of credits for now, still watching. Good luck, my friend! You should get quite a lot for it. :-)

Hi, tiffy859. If you can't read the serial no, you can go to the Settings app. Tap on the General button, and then tap the about button. You should see your serial number there. Good luck!

Not sure?? I never tried. It does have the app store. I have no idea about jail breaking one. No knobs for volume, you have to slide the volume bar back and forth
