by the Nevada/California border
where part of Terminator 3 was filmed ;-)
the mountain was blown up during World War 2 to find crystals to use in radios
the road leading to and the top of the mountain are all filled with QUARTZ..
(this kind of rock is excellent for decorating purposes
or for spiritual purposes )
it is hard to find and not cheap
