This listing is for the 7 different types of 1982 pennies the mint made that year.. In 1982 the unite states mint changed the material in the penny from copper alloy which weighed 3.11 grams with .950 copper, .050 zinc and they changed it to copper plated zinc which weighed 2.5 grams an consisted of the core being 99.2% zinc, .8%copper and with a plating of pure copper, which was 20% lighter than the copper alloy pennies!! All of the pennies mow are made of te copper plated zinc, but the us mint started the year and made 1982p large date copper, 1982p small date copper, and a 1982d large date copper, and then they change the material and made 1982p small date zinc, 1982p large date zinc, 1982d small date zinc, and last was the 1982d large date zinc which was the key date for that set!! I have had this for about a year or longer and my grandpa got this set the year I was born 1984 and had kept it ever since but now I am passing it on so it will be free hopping to the USA only I'm sorry I just do not want to fill out customs and stuff sorry so USA free shipping so good luck and bid high this is a great set and not many people even know about the 7 different types or that they changed the materials an have large and small date types so bid high and win win win I need alotta credits!! ;) thanks for looking and check out all my auctions!!
