The power from your battery comes in to the big screw spot. Then you can run 6 other things off from that. Each light or accesory you run off of the distribution block will have its own fuse and will avoid shorting everything out in case of a short. It will blow the fuse to the accesory and not everything... They use them for stereo systems too... Each amp can have a fuse... Hope this helps...
