For your consideration is this wonderful vintage cameo locket estate find. Beautifully done ponytailed girl cameo. Its probably not shell, more likely a high quality well done resin. No cut marks and glue you see in cheap resin cameos. And the cameo is not glued on. It appears to be all one well done piece of whatever it is made of. It opens and closes with a nice snap. Interesting it opens from top to bottom. Most lockets open like a book from the side. No markings that I see. No damage that I see. Easy wearable with a generous 24 inch yellow gold tone chain. Both pieces in great condition. Only thing I can say is that the item doesn't appear to have ever been worn. Chain is bright and so is the locket but you just know by how they are made that they were made many years ago. Always glad to answer any questions. Smoke free and pet free home.
