I am a lot older than your pic too. lol. When i was a kid these bottle openers were commonly nicknamed church keys, because they also were used to open Beer Bottles. This was a polite or politically southern correct way of asking for help in opening your Beer. LOL
Oh funny, I never heard that before. I grew up in Maryland and I guess that wasn't southern enough for them or maybe it was just because they used their teeth to open their beer bottles. True story, my friend's son opened a beer bottle with his teeth and broke off a front tooth. At the age of 26, that is what he got for Christmas that year, a new front tooth. LOL
Yeah I knew a few of those type too. They always wanted to prove how tough they were. They did'nt want to use a sissy church key.--- Me,--- I was always allergic to pain. lol
