Description

The listing, Pete Rose signed Baseball 2 sides has ended.

Selling one of four balls signed in person down in Vegas by Pete Rose. He was doing a signing at a store in Mandalay Bay Hotel at a sports shop. I have a total of four of them. This is the only one signed on both sides. Two of the others have his signature with the phrase of "Hit King # 4256" on them. The fourth ball is made out to my daughter Brooklyn. Only parting with the double side that's in the pic. I have attached a photo of me shaking his hand and him holding up one of the balls. That is not a stock photo, it is my personal picture, and you can check out my Facebook to verify that it is me in the picture. I paid 100$ for a five minute sit down to talk and to sign and he is a pretty cool guy.

I wished I could' have gone to one of his meet and greets. Arguably one of the greatest hitters of all time. An interesting and funny man as well. I have many pieces signed by him and I keep adding to the collection. Good luck to all on this one!!!

I'm pretty sure he now does that full time in Vegas at the Mandalay Bay. He was pretty patient and just loved talking about whatever you wanted too, good sense of humor. I've always thought he was a funny guy from some of his interviews and I guess you'd have to be to put up with all the garbage he still gets. Sure he bet on Baseball, but he didn't cheat and he is hands down the greatest hitter ever, time to let it go and let him in the HOF. My 9 year old daughter is a huge fan of Baseball and the ball he signed to her was, "To one heck of a kid Brooklyn, keep loving the game and break my record" Pete Rose.
I found his schedule for anyone interested.

I didn't know he was still doing his gig at the Mandalay. Might be time for a return to Vegas!

I can make a copy of the picture to send out with the ball or you can save it off this website either way is fine with me. I wish I had a picture of what I did for my daughter signed ball. They wanted 25.00 for a glass case at the store he was signing at, I passed on it. I went to Sports Authority and got a licensed MLB case made of clear plastic for 4.99, made a copy of the picture and put it stuck to the back of the glass inside behind the ball, turned out pretty cool.

Is the ball in the photo the one listed here? If so, can you easily see that it is?

It's not I only have the one picture that they took right as I was getting up to leave and shaking his hand, if it will let me I will put the pic of the ball up that Pete Rose is holding and I'll give the winner the choice of having the double sided ball or the exact one in the picture. Didn't want to part with the one in the picture but I understand people having reserves about a diff ball in the pic so I'll do whatever makes the winner happy.

It's not going to let me add a picture, I grabbed the ball in the picture out of its case and held it up to the screen next to the pic to compare but can't add it. If anyone needs to see that picture send me a message, don't comment unless you want the world to have your email and I will get a picture to you. I will let the winner chose which ball they want to have, I'll do it either way the winner wants. Thanks

Do you have a COA on it also?
Jun 26th, 2014 at 12:16:29 PM PDT by

Sorry my coa is the picture and I have a small card that is with my daughters ball in a glass case at her moms house. Wasn't thinking about a coa at the time, they might have offered one, and I'm sure it was extra, and if it was extra I'm pretty sure I didn't want to pay extra for due to I wasn't planning on selling them. My other kids aren't into baseball so theses are extra. Plus I just spent 100$ meeting Gale Sayers who was doing a signing a few stores down. Hope that makes sense.

Will the winner get a copy of the photo as well?
Jun 26th, 2014 at 1:35:17 PM PDT by
Original
Yes I can scan it off or you can click on the picture right here, right click and select save. Either way. Like I said, the ball in the pic is a different one that I'm more then willing to emails a picture for comparison, and if the winner so chooses, I will send the other ball. It's signed across the sweet spot with Hit King and the #.

Baseball is fun. I live about 1 1/ 2 hours from Cooperstown and it is wonderful. My son would love this.

That's cool, I've only been to the NBA hall of fame, would love to see Cooperstown.

Some day, hopefully. Jealous of you, that would be amazing.
With all the messages I'm getting on this ball I might put up a "Hit King" ball after this one, the ball in the pic. I haven't decided only because I've been getting cash offers, not sure if I want to go that rout or not.

Can't blame you on that. I say go for the cash as long as it's good...but if you list it here, I may have to try for that one too...

Works for me either way. The reason I got on listia a while back is because Ebay was such a pain in the butt and taking a bigger and bigger cut all the time. Putting alot of my collection on here (not sure if you knew about me getting autographs working for the Utah Jazz for a few years). It gives people a chance to get real pieces of their favorite players and do it with points. Most of this stuff on the NBA side is so over priced on the market that most people can't touch it. Plus, I turn around and am able to buy a few things on here with the points so it's a win win. I just don't have the space to properly show everything I have and trying to keep it in storage is a risk with theft (if people knew what was in there) and the monthly fees are ridiculous for storage anymore. Oh well, got divorced and just don't have the space anymore. I'm selling a ton, but trust me, the real big stuff I'm keeping for my daughters to do with what they want.
Plus meeting quite a few cool people on here that are genuine and love knowing it's going to a home that someone will love, and not to a dealer for a huge mark up that nobody can afford. I got it all for free, minus the ball from Pete Rose and Helmet from Gale Sayers, so why try to sell it for a ton of money.

Thanks, just spreading the wealth around sort of...lol Plus I get a little something back too, it all works out pretty good. Thanks for bidding, I'll let you know if and when I do the other.
