Description

The listing, Graceful Ruby Red Vintage Bud Vase Made for Avon has ended.

Ruby red glass is one of those things that just brings joy to the eyes! Look at the delicately graceful curved lines of this bud vase made for the Avon company. Can you imagine a single perfect bloom from your garden to accentuate it?

This vase measures about 8" tall at its highest point with around a 2" diameter. I am unsure of what company made this particular design, but did you know that gold is required to produce red glass? That's why it is usually more expensive and those little red vase filler marbles are not red all the way through, but have a "painted on" coloring.

Whatever it took to make this, you will get it "given" to you from me - and even the ship costs are FREE here in the USA.

Thanks, good luck everyone!

I understand completely! I like so many colors, but red is so rich! I'm very partial to amberina as well (the red and yellow mix that was so popular with some of the makers) - when I see a piece in a shop, my heart still jumps a little. Silly I know, but it's just so darned pretty!

I have sooooo much red depression glassware and this would fit right in! My husbands grandmother gave me a service for 8 dinnerware includes the glasses both juice and water and I have added a lot over the years to the collection. Too bad this was not on eBay LoL then I would have owned it already LoL it sure is lovely!

TY! I love red glass - whenever I can, I pick it up from rummage, church resales, etc.

Amberina glass might be my fav - oh, I say that about everything! But really, one of my best loved pieces is a moon and stars amberina large compote. Outstanding!

Oh I never read the listing...I threw away a ton of very very old avon bottles such as the wagon and the steam engine and on and on cause I just did not care for it all. Well I did not throw it out I sold it during my own and only yard sale ever and that was when I was in Oklahoma City LoL! Sold them for 10 cents each too.

You know, Avon did account for some pretty hideous stuff - especially the men's cologne - what the heck was that called, wild country, I think. Yes, those figural cars and wagons did nothing for me, but I bet they are still collectible due to the glass makers. I have a particularly ugly presidential soap dish or something and I have to dig it out - it may look better to me these days :-)
