FREE: Sweet Heart Shaped Embossing Folder

Thanks for fanning and watching. You have to use transfer paper and I'm pretty sure you can but it won't look right at all! The problem is that when you iron, you flatten out a design while embossing indents (and the opposite) at the same time which is called debossing. And, you want that indented look! Most embossing machines emboss and deboss at the same time. (There is a way just to emboss without debossing especially if you use the We R Memory Makers machine.) You really need an embossing machine. My suggestion is to go to you-tube and look at the how to videos! You might be able to find some under EKSuccess in Martha Stewart's blogs somewhere about how to transfer designs. And, Brother Inc. who makes sewing machines has a die cutting and embossing machine that might fit your needs best if you like to work with fabric. It's expensive though! Here's how to do it without ironing. Just put your fabric inside the embossing folder and run it through the embosser! You can use a brayer and a little fabric paint and roll it inside the embossing folder. You can then wipe up the paint from the folder with some dishwasher soap and water or even a baby towelette (if it's not oil based!). Brother Inc and some other brands now make die cutting machines that you can buy and cut out fabric for quilting. Tim Holtz's Vagabond will emboss and die cut fabric as will Teresa Collins' Cut N' Boss machine and We R Memory Keepers' Evolution machine. The Cricut machines will also cut vinyl.
