The listing, PRETTY VINTAGE CHOKIN TRINKET BOX has ended.

The Chokin Art skill of metal Gilding on various objects, originated in Japan in or around the 6th Century.
Monks decorated Buddhist shrines & Emperors Palaces with this rich form of Art & later in History, this same type of design technique was used to embellish Armor, Helmets, Shields & Swords of the Samurai Warriors.

Here we have a Lovely Porcelain,Trinket Box that also was decorated in the Chokin Gilding style, using 24K Gold, Rose Gold & Platinum.

The maker is the Action Company & it was made in Japan.
I believe it is from the 1970's.
It measures 3.25" x 1.5" & is octagonal in shape. There are no chips, cracks or damage of any kind ;0)

This wonderful little box would make a nice addition to your Curio collection or to use on your Vanity or bedside table, to put your jewelry in at bed time ;0)
It would also be a perfect Gift for many types of special occasions.
