The listing, Lane Mini Cedar Chest has ended.
This is a very nice mini chest , no key though . I don't have the heart to keep it knowing so many women have lost theirs and would love to have another one . I run across them from time to time so keep watching and happy bidding !
This would be great to put all my mother things in who was a ww11 vet we just lost her this would be great , and thank you for your service too god bless you
Wow ! I'm very sorry for your loss . I just watched a documentary about female WWII vets . It was very enlightening , especially since you virtually never see anything about the women who served during the war . Many had horror stories to tell and were moved to tears even after 70 years . Thank you and be aware that we cannot do what we do without the support of the home front . Have a great day !
Yes Thank-you so much for ur protecton & serving u country! I have a very special place in my heart for the Military, As the woman above you, we just lost our Mother not long ago & lost my Father 20yrs. ago from Cancer do to a very bad electrical accident that he should have died from he was 48 when that happened So my Mom & Dad are bureid together He was Cremated, They were Both Air-Force...I miss them terribley, my brother was born over in Germany There are 8 of us kids! we would tease mom that whenever Daddy was home, pants on the bedpost Mom had another baby..lol...* of us kids born everywhere from florida to Gemany to Aizona to NY& Arkansaw & so on! well I bored you enough.lol BlessYou!
Thank you so much ! I served 8 years initially , got out for seven , missed the adventure and then 911 happened . Came back in for that and still in so far . I love hearing individual stories like yours and others , it takes a team effort of family support and duty to make it work ! There should be documentaries done for those who stay behind and fight from the home front . You should never let your parents contributions be forgotten because they still count !!! The care packages sure helped to soften my heart for sure while in Afghanistan 2 years ago and I still have the crayon pictures and letters from school children who wrote from their little hearts ! That really keeps a grizzled old warhorse going ! Thank you so much for your support !
I'd love to hear some of his old stories ! 30 years in the Navy is very tough on a family unit . I hope you guys still find time to travel now , especially since you're on your own time and no orders ! Thank you both for your service !
My goodness , all three the same year must have been very rough ! I'm sure your family was very proud of them ! The lady who was interviewed in the documentary was a nurse and could barely keep her composure when describing the horrible injuries she had witnessed and friends she had lost during the war . The conditions were equally bad for men and women alike but they performed their duties with pride and honor . I sincerely hope the girls received treatment for PTSD , it was bad for everyone .I will definitely google Cpl. Mike and read his story . My Dad and Uncle Fred were Vietnam Marines and never had a whole lot to say about it . Please have a great day and enjoy your holiday !
another of her brothers die two day before her and he served in the Navy and then in Oct the same year another one of her brothers die not sure what branch he was in , but we lost all three the same year
