Watching this one! What a lovely piece. My youngest is an October baby, as was my Mother, so I'm always looking for opal love in its many forms. I have never heard of Morganite before, makes me think of the Lady Morgana. Does it have another name?

I am not aware of any other names for Morganite but it doesn't mean it doesn't have one. I found it about 8 years ago at the International Gem and mineral show and I thought it was very pretty and bought some but just enough to offer a few pieces to my customers and clients and a few pieces to work with then about 3 months ago I found a piece I HAD to have and then when I got my hubby had to have it and so I have been seeking it out and working with it and making it into many things lately. I have thought about Morgana several times when thinking about the stone because of the name. It is a beautiful piece but I promise I haven't found any old withes or wizards stuck in the stones when I crack them open, meditate with them, polish, play, or paint them. lol I can talk about stones all night so before I do. I will say thank you kindly for stopping by and taking the time to look and compliment, comment, and conversate. I honor all three. I wish you the best should you decide to bid. ~Namaste

Found this info on the Zales website, thought you would be interested to know the name of the stone is very mundane:

A member of the Beryl family, Morganite found its name in 1911 when it drew the attention of one of the world's most esteemed gemstone experts, George Kunz of Tiffany & Co®. He named it in honor of millionaire banker and mineral collector John Pierport Morgan.

Legend says that Beryl was once used to ward off demons and evil spirits and that it can protect the wearer from danger while traveling. Other legends also state that beryl can be used to bring good luck, cheerfulness, energy, and eternal youthfulness.

Morganite is believed to nurture feelings of love and to increase tenderness in a relationship. Morganite can enhance one's communications skills and provide patience to help focus during times of stress.

Along with Aquamarine and Emerald, Morganite is probably the best-known of the Beryl family, though its rarity stands in the way of it becoming a common jewelry stone.
