1) are these gift certificate work like a gift card?
2) if I dine at a restaurant that on their list and the amount let's say it's $45 and I give them 2 of these gift certificate will they accept it? will they give me back $5 extra?

Yes, depending on the restaurant. As far as them giving you money back, I think it's safe to say that No, probably not. I have a couple hundred $$ in restaurant.com codes and I used them when I went out of town! I love these and intend to use them in the future. Right now, with three small children and my hub working off hours- I don't foresee a date night anytime soon lol. What I did was got the app on my phone then at the restaurant showed them my purchased certificate. Thanks, I'm glad you asked.
