Not sure, I was told they were part of the mint family. You would have to look it up
We just use ours for the pretty purple flowers they have.

The leaves, stems, and flowers are all edible. Purple dead nettle is very nutritious being high in iron, vitamin C, fiber and antioxidants.
It can be eaten raw as a salad green or cooked. It can also be chopped and used in sauces or pesto. It should be collected when in flower for eating fresh or for storage by drying.
The entire plant is an astringent, styptic, diaphoretic, diuretic, and purgative. Freshly bruised leaves can be applied to external cuts to staunch bleeding. It has anti-inflammatory, antifungal and antimicrobial properties. It has also been used as a complementary treatment option for controlling and reducing allergies.
Dead Nettle is also a prominent source of pollen for bees which, of course, is beneficial for the world in general!
