Odds and ends of various handmade bias bindings I have used over the years...Prewashed, 100% cotton fabrics.

Clockwise from upper left corner:
2.25 yards of the pink floral - not cut on bias
4.75 yards rust/cream floral - not cut on bias
2 yards black/white music notes - bias cut
2 and 2/3 yards of navy/green print - not cut on bias
7 yards of the lavender stripe - cut on bias
(If it's not cut on the bias you won't be able to use it around curves.)

A note about the way I make bias binding...The fabric is cut 2.75" wide, folded in half and stitched along the edge. It now measures 1 and 3/8". I prefer my binding to be double for longevity.

I use this to finish the edges of quilts and wallhangings, or to add trim tote bags. etc.
