F&W! GREAT auction! I could really use this....making another afghan for my local Cancer Care Center. They were all so wonderful to me when I had my chemo there! Since my chemo lasted most of the day, I usually was busy crocheting or knitting whatever items they needed for the center!
Thank you. My mother does the same thing. Although she has always crocheted, after her chemo, she still crocheted for the cancer center. She makes an afghan a week ! The only reason this yarn is up for auction is that my mother does not use black because she says it is too hard to see what she's doing. Good luck with your bidding. I'm sure the cancer center appreciates your generosity. Fanned u back. Have a great day. :-))
That's great ! I think you will do well. :-)). I have two shops on etsy. Put my Mother's crocheted items in one. Plus vintage items. The other is for my hand made jewelry. The competition is fierce so you have to MARKET. Have a great day. :-))
That's so great! Thanks for the info. I'm excited but I feel bad for my friends Facebook pages lol I guess that's the first place to spread the word. Thanks again for the helpful info. Have a good day :)
I never thought of that! And I just sent one of my friend who a listian a blanket and little crocheted hat as a baby gift and fixin to sendone to my daughter also. Am working on another one now! Great auction Hun! You have my attention...maybe you can come up with some pastels/
I have a closet full of stuff. In that closet are two Rubbermaid containers full of yarn. I TRIED to learn to crochet. My Mother Tried to help me, but alas, I simply could not get the gang if it. My afghans grow wider and wider as I crochet them. :-((. I'll leave the crocheting to the professionals. So, I'll see what I can pull out. You are soooo blessed to have grand babies. My sons are 33 and 28 and no grand babies in sight. :-(( have a great day and thanks for your interest In my auction.
Yep....my eyes were pretty bad during chemo but vision has started to improve after not having chemo for a couple of months. Your Mom must be a very busy lady! And she is so right about the darker colors being harder to see - especially at night! I avoided using darker colors during chemo!
I wish her well with the surgery. That should make a big difference! The cancer centers ALWAYS need afghans! Most chemo depletes your iron so people are always cold! I know from first hand experience as well as being an advanced practice nurse.
