Up for bids is this beautiful commemorative coin to honor all of the people who lost their lives on 9/11/01, and to the families of those that were lost. This coin has never been removed from the card, but I really do not know much about it. I think that it is Brass or Copper – it's very heavy. It's about the size of a Half Dollar coin. It comes encased in a plastic holder.
Each section of the card covers a different area of the attacks that day. New York, Washington DC, and Somerset County PA, with a time-line of the events. The card inside is Red, White, and Blue. This is a great collectible, I have never seen one like this before. If any one has information on this coin please post it in my comments preferably with a website to substantiate the claims made.
It still is a beautiful collectible no matter what.
