**This auction is just for Romaine Lettuce***
You will receive 25+++ NON-GMO Parris Island Romaine Lettuce Seeds.
8" to 12" upright heads of thick, meaty, dark green leaves enfold a slightly creamy-white heart. The flavor of this heirloom variety is sweet and mild, ideal for Caesar salad or tossed with other greens. Very uniform and slow to bolt.
I plant seeds in a 1/2 barrel as in Pic #2 or in several large pots when temps outside reach at least 55 degrees . Then when plants reach about 5" I transfer them into a prepared bed covered w/ black plastic Pic's #3 & 4. I cut holes 10-12" apart in the plastic in rows 6" apart and put the small plants into those holes with water and I add about 1 Tbl. of worm castings and then cover the roots and water them once daily. Harvest in 72 days from seeding depending on your location.
You can see that my chickens love being able to munch through the wire around my enclosed bed so I'm putting chicken wire around the bed this year :)
Thx for your confidence in me as a seller :D
