The listing, Valuable Old US stamp, 5c brown from the 1893 Columbian Exposition has ended.
Up for auction here is another valuable and very old US stamp-- it's a 5c brown, issued to commemorate the 1893 Columbian Exposition, Scott number 234 with a catalogue value of $9.50, so definitely a "better" stamp. It is in used condition with an interesting "target" postmark, in very decent condition for such an old stamp; not something you see every day on Listia!

This week I am listing ALL older stamps from the USA including some quite valuable ones, so have a look! And if you win multiple bids, they will be sent together.
Here's the bigger scoop: My mom and stepdad both passed away a few years ago, and I've been going through some of their old stuff-- they were both dedicated "savers" of everything. In some ways, I guess they were borderline "hoarders." My stepdad accumulated stamps, and this is from his collection-- although it's more like a giant pile of messy album pages and envelopes.
I think people should have fun bidding on stuff-- that's what auctions are all about! So the starting bids for my stuff will always be is FIVE credits, and we go from there, no matter HOW valuable something might be.
OFFICIAL LISTIA ADDRESSES ONLY! No private email stuff, no "can you send it here instead" stuff and so on.
Thanks for your interest, and good luck!
