Jake was originally drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in 2004, but decided to attend Texas Christian University. Then in 2007 he was selected by the Baltimore Orioles. He made his Major League debut in 2010. In July of 2013 he was traded to the Chicago Cubs where he is currently pitching as the Cubs look to the future with some up and coming prospects loaded with talent.
