Is this the new model? Can you tell what year was this scale made? Is the postage on the scale accurate? I bought one for the 50lb and the postal worker told me that the scale postage is not correct as the manufacture dated on the package says 2009. The postage has been raise since then. So they told me to use it as a scale only and not to use it for postage on the model that I bought. Anyhow I'll be watching to bit.

I wasn't aware this one made postage, I think it's a postal quality scale, where you can weigh your packages so you know how much postage to apply, or buy from USPS.com. I know it's one of the more expensive 75 lb scales by Weighmax, but I honestly don't know anything about other models to know if this one is the newest or not. So sorry.

It comes with a battery, but, 9V are the little rectangular batteries that you can buy at any grocery store, convenience shop, big box location, etc. :)
