If you like Bling, you will love this ring. The Peridots are genuine (August birthstone), and, well, the CZ's are genuine also :o) This is a fun ring...I don't know if it is gold plated or filled. I do know it is a size 8, it is new, and it will get you noticed! And I promise it won't make your hand look like the model's hand...the Peridot's color will stay with the Peridot's. Like I said...it is a fun ring with a lot of bling. And, you don't have to be an August baby to wear Peridots. *A note to the guys out there. She will think you are the last of the big spenders when you slip this on her finger. Just something to think about!

is there any marks or stamps inside the band? like 925 or 18 ktge...?

YUP...there is something marked inside of the band. What it is is anyone's guess. I'm SURE it isn't a real gold ring, and I purchased a kit so I could tell absolutely, positively, without a doubt, if it is plated, or 10k, 12k, 14k 18k .925 or platinum! Well, then I read the directions, and when I opened one of the bottles it started smoking, I closed it back up, backed out of the room and haven't gone near it since! Anyone out there HAZMAT? I need my bathroom back again!!! Ummmm, did that answer your question? If not, the answer is: "I cannot read what is stamped in there, which leads me to believe it was intended to be that way". It's a pretty ring with lots of bling (and I rhymed that without even trying LOL) and it hasn't been worn except by my green handed model and she didn't have it on very long. Oh, and thank you for asking and for your interest. I will try to keep the rest of my answers to a low roar!

well in my personal experience if there is a mark inside it usually means it is atleast plated, but hopefully it is solid because if it is only plated i wouldnt know what the base metal is to have it sized but if it is solid silver or gold then it can be resized.....thanks a bunch.

reason it smoked is because it is acid and there was probably something that got on the tip of the bottle. that is how the stuff works. it eats up everything that is not at least the degree of gold marked on the bottle. so it you get it on you, wash right away under cold water. is relatively safe with care. never wipe your eyes when using it. if it scares you, might think about listing it. would bring good points i bet.

Thank you cmjake007. I appreciate your input. I guess the word "acid" is scarey enough but I could overlook that until it started smoking like it would like to blow up LOL. I might try one more time armed with your information, and if I chicken out again I will put it up for auction in here. There is only 1 drop gone from 2 of the bottles, so in essence it is new. Hi Sandy...Bling is really not a Listia term...it is termanology used when something is shiney and bright and kinda jumps out at you....It has 'BLING". If you like sparkly things, bright lights, lots of diamonds glittering...then you like "Bling" :o) Hope that helps. And don't feel silly...there is a lot of stuff out there I don't know...we all can't know everything and if we don't ask, well, we will just be uninformed! :o)
