Serrano Chili Pepper Seeds
The meaty, hot and very versatile Serrano Chili Peppers originated in the Mexican states of Puebla and Hidalgo. They are now very common in the Southwestern United States and in Thai cuisine.
Serrano Peppers are in the top 10 hottest peppers on the market. They are said to be 5 times hotter than the Jalapeno Pepper.
Serrano Chili peppers have very thin walls so they do not need to be steamed or peeled before using. This makes these peppers the easiest to use in salsas. They are also common in sauces, relishes, as garnishes and roasted. Serrano Peppers are very meaty and, therefore, do not dry well.
Serrano Peppers are initially green and change to red, brown, orange or yellow as they mature.
