This is a vintage item – you can tell, because it was actually Made in the USA! And the price was only $1.25. Same thing now is $4.99 and up, depending on brand.

This makes three different sizes of pom-poms. When our high school band traveled to Ireland, we had tons of money makers! Pom-poms in your high school colors are easy, fairly cheap to make, and a great money maker!

Band kids tie them to their instrument cases, and the drummers and marching bells tie them to their mallets. Cheerleaders tie them to shoes and everything else! Attached to hair clips, they make a great "team spirit" item!

When I was growing up, we made them to tie on our ice and roller skates (that's when the skating rinks were having their hayday!).

Pom-poms are also good for caps, sweaters, slippers, mittens, and cat toys! Yes, cats love to play with anything made of yarn that they can bat around! Well, I'm getting carried away over a little item! LOL!
