There are 8 separate pieces . they are all 25 inches long. They are LONG. You can choose to use them as is. Or trim them to what length you prefer. There are videos on u tube that instruct how to use clip in hair extensions. If they were used as they are now of course 25 inches would come past mid back.

I might add I use hair extensions myself, mostly for special occasions but I have always trimmed mine. I would find 24 inches too long. Its all personal preference

personally I would NOT. It can cause damage. If u want curly synthetic extensions there are nice ones on eBay, or at beauty supply stores. Thanks for the e mail
