The listing, Xbox 360 console- red ring of death (RROD) has ended.

A nice Xbox 360. I bought it to fix, but it has a inter- cooler. So i couldn't use the towel trick without taking the inter cooler off. Take it apart and fix it, or use it for parts. Either way, it's up to you. Although it shows the system lit up, i will NOT be adding any Power Supplies, or av coords. this is as is. I will charge shipping on this, but will use a flat rate box to try and save the winning bidder money. We accept the shipping payment through PayPal. Happy bidding!

the towel trick is not an effective way to fix you console in fact it could potentially ruin it. the proper way to fix it is but putting down new thermal paste removing the X clamps and re bolting the heat-syncs back into place then you would overheat the console by putting the fan above the heat-sync and the dvd drive then allowing to cool properly.

Ohh, and in case it wasn't clear... this isn't in working function as it stand right now... It has the red ring of death. Its a easy fix normally if it wasn't for the inter cooler in it. This is a good deal to anyone with the time and know how to take apart and fix.

The fastest way would be the towel trick. No it doesn't come with a hard drive. But i do have a 12 gig hard drive up for auction here: http://www.listia.com/auction/1869500 This is just the system without any cords, or extras.

Yes they have. Some one at some point put in that inter cooler, and they took off those stickers when they opened it.

Opps... posted in the wrong area... Do you mean boot up a game or dashboard or something? No... it's not working as is. It has the rrod. (red ring of death) Its a over heating problem as far as i know. I have had MANY xboxes with the rrod and fixed simply by wrapping them in 3 towels, turning it on (without anything hooked up to it other then the power cord) and bake it for 25 mins, then letting them cool down about 15 mins before plugging them back in. But this has a cooler inside, i'm assuming thats why it wont fix the problem. So who ever buys this will have to either pay to get it fixed, or fix it them selfs. Hope that helps with your question. :)

Why do you think that? Not that i don't believe you, just wondering why. I get pallet loads of 360's all the time with the red ring of death, but this is the only one i couldn't fix. I assumed it was because the cooler wouldn't let it bake hot enough. I think i'll be adding more 360's with the rrod. They seem to do well here, and i get them for next to nothing when i buy so many of them.
