I had the same thing happen twice! The first time it was a black hills gold ring with a small diamond, just got a envelope with a hole in it-no ring. I got my credits back but it was such a loss for both me and the seller. The second time the ring got here, barely, it was hanging out and had been taped by the post office. I had to sign for and inspect it as damaged mail, so if it had been empty they would have made a note of it. The ring was in okay shape, but scratched and had a stone loose. Why people send things worth so much in a plain envelope is beyond me, it just don't make any sense to risk losing the item and the credits both over a $1 bubble mailer.
Yup,same thing happend to me also..All i got was an envelope that looked like it had been thru hell and back with a note on it saying this is how it came with no content in it from the post office..I didn't get my credits back or the product either,i lost out on both :(
It makes me sooooo sad when people send sttuff in a regular envelope! The post office puts EVERYTHING trhough the sorting machine and with that little lump in it it's more likely to get caught! I guess if you're going to use a regular envelope, make sure it's padded so that it goies through the machine smoothly. It doesn't matter if you put "do not machine". I think some think that it's cheaper to send that way, but it has to do with the weight and a small padded packaging envelpe really doesn't weigh but an ounce. I've had a few things get messed up and/or ruined and hanging out. SAD
