This must be a sleep gown or undergarment for a girl toddler...found this at an estate sale with other very old baby clothes....looks to be unbleached linen, has dainty embroidery near the bottom, and a tiny tag with a D in script inside...I guess it's either the manufacture tag or the child's initial...has one tiny smudge, and what looks to be a tiny repair on the shoulder by the button...it's 20 in long, exactly as found with its fold marks, untouched for decades...May be Victorian or Edwardian period....adorable to hang,on a child's hanger for display
