He measures about 3 inches long and fits over the ear like a bluetooth device, This is a true ear cuff and does not require any piercings to be held on.

The cuff near the tail and the dragons claw aid in holding it on while it wraps over and around the top of the ear. So you do NOT have to have pierced ears, much less large gauge piercings, to wear it.
