The picture shows a view of this Colorful 1963 Unopened Package of Monster Magic Action Trading Cards. The cards and package are not dated but they are believed to be from 1963. This unopened package contains (8) trading cards and a thick plastic lenticular lens to hold over the cards to create the ''Magic Action'' motion. The card set is not numbered but (24) cards make up a complete set.

We've had an opened package of these before and remember it having colorful cards of various monsters, creatures, space aliens, King Kong, prehistoric dinosaurs, and more with a lot of flicker motion action. Two of the cards can be seen in the picture, but there are six more and the plastic lens inside.

The cards were made and copyrighted by the Vending Division of Abby Finishing Corporation of Brooklyn, New York. They were put out or distributed bt The Knight Toy & Novelty, Inc. of Freeport, N.Y.. They were most likely sold in five and dime stores. The package back is blank and the front is marked as follows:

The cards each measure 3-1/2'' x 2-1/2'' and the package measures 4-7/8'' x 8-1/2''. It is in mint unopened condition as pictured. The display hook hole hasn't even been punched out.
