Questions & Comments
I wasn't asking for free shipping--just a quote. I understand it is a slightly larger piece, but most sellers are generally willing to take their item to a postal office to weigh to give an estimate of shipping when there is interest or reason to do so. Not that I'm saying "GO NOW" but wow. I don't OWN "hard ceadar wood", in a small piece or in a piece as large as you indicate. Plus? That wouldn't include the frame's weight, the weight of packing materials, the cost of tracking, the cost OF your packing materials. We can't predict whether or not you will be using packing materials you already own or buying new ones. For us to estimate would be at our peril, then putting us at risk if we are wrong and do not have the difference. Whereas for you, you have the piece in hand. If you wanted to, you could get an exact quote, and it would take almost as much effort as you getting an estimate. Estimate high, but if you have the ability, estimate, as that way people will be more likely to bid. AS it stands right now, I won't be bidding. Too much of a risk. I know it's a beautiful, unique piece, but if I can't afford the shipping, then I'm out my points AND the painting, and my rating on Listia. Too much to risk.
Wow. Okay. Well, if you ever DO find out the shipping cost, let me know. I don't bid on things if I don't know how much shipping will be, when they're this big, because I don't want to win something only to find I can't afford shipping. Thanks for your time, though.
The wood it is painted on is 15x33x34 hard ceader wood not chip or partical board you can take a peice to ups and weigh it and they will tell u thanks for ur interest if i could ship it i would but i have put myself out with free shipping on the other piecies because i am new at this but u will truely have a one of a kind original because no artist in this time and age would use wood that thick to paint on
When u have under $700 a month to live on a mo hts hard to do if i really knew how this thing worked i 'm going to be hard strapped to ship the others but i'm a man of my word and will get the others to them when the auctions are over and will have to watch the next time
i ship big pictures all the time. you can wrap it yourself have it insured and shuold ship throught usps for around 25-30 dollars tops. make your self a box and wrap in it in bubble wrap. good to go.
