if this laptop drive is going to be used in a desk top pc you dont need any special adaptors. all you have to do is cut the 12 volt wire on your sata power connector (usually the yellow one) being that a lap top drive only runs on 5 volts. other than the 12 volt wire all of the connectors are the same as a standard sata drive
