Description

The listing, 5 Moringa Olifera Seeds, Last seeds has ended.

These are the last of my extra seeds. I ordered fresh seeds from Thailand and have more than I can use. Moringa Olifera seeds don't have a long shelf life so I'm listing extra seeds. The ones I planted have started growing. From what I can see, the germination rate is right about 100%. I have loads of young plants now.

Moringa Oleifera contains more than 92 nutrients and 46 types of antioxidants. Moringa is said to cure about three hundred diseases and almost have all the vitamins found in fruits and vegetables. It is also known as Miracle Tree and is considered one of the greatest finds on Earth. It can easily be termed as the most nutritious herb on the planet and there are no side-effects.

It tolerates poor growing conditions and doesn't require fertilizing. If you live in the northern regions, you must bring Moringa Olifera plants indoors. Frost will kill them.

I've never tasted them yet. I saw some on Listia and won them. The ones I was sent were crushed and old. So I bought a package of 100 fresh packed from Thailand. I planted some and have plenty of seedlings. These are the leftovers from the pack.

When my seedlings get to be 12" tall, I'll start using them in cooking. At this time, they're about 6" tall and very healthy.

Interesting observation. Yesterday I noticed that squash bugs have stayed off my moringa. Carrots planted with them though had some bugs. Squash bugs and grasshoppers are my worst pest problems. Since I grow organically, I try to stay ahead of them with wood ash. When my neem tree gets older, I'll use it for pesticide.

Interesting.....how do you use wood ash to "stay ahead of the squash bugs"?
Those bugs eat my plants before I even have a chance to see them! I would very much appreciate any tips you may be willing to share! Thanks.

I learned about sprinkling wood ash from a friend. Most of my squash died, but I put wood ash on the remaining plants for 3 days. The bugs are gone and my plants are still alive.
