i am no chef or cook, but reading the back of the package, it mentions meat , but not suger or liquids. i do not know the difference or if there is one. the temperture guide, list meats,poutry, eggs,fish,leftovers,casseroles. with you asking ,shows you know more than me! i guess i would have to say no, if you know there is a difference, hope i was of some help, and thanks for looking, note: there is no clip to hang on side of a pot.
