Questions & Comments
Hey Jejensen3, Glad to see you you're sticking to your guns about shipping. =) I agree with you, queenkitt - I too don't understand the picayune attitude displayed about shipping. People ... get over it, already! Yes, Jejensen3 "may" get more bids if he/she offered 'free shipping', but that is not the choice he/she made. You have a choice too - to bid or not to bid. If you don't like the terms of the auction, then don't bid. It's that simple. Constant criticism is not upbuilding and primarily serves to undermine the community of this site.
That may be, however if you noticed, I did state that it was a "choice" each one of us has, and that it is entirely okay for each side to make it - whatever it may be. No one is criticising you personally. I do apologize that you took exception to my concern for Jejensen3, but from what it appears by the comments, I felt he/she could use some support for choosing to charge for shipping. The loss of a few credits or points for charging a shipping fee is nominal, as I am sure Jejensen3 has taken into account - we all have.
I think flat rate shipping of $4.95 is absolutely reasonable. Jejensen3, try not to allow yourself to be persuaded to do anything you are uncomfortable with regarding your shipping method - espeically with such a valuable item. If you have your mind set on flat rate shipping, then be okay with sticking to your decision about it. After all, you wil be the one to have to deal with possible loss, theft, or anything out of the ordinary that could happen in mail transition. And, a flat rate, priority mail package will be easier to trace than an ordinary envelope. I know that I myself would certainly appreciate receiving a gold ring via priority flat rate mail, and I believe many others would too.
Thank You Very Much!! And you are absolutely right. I thought I was being reasonable with the shipping costs. I know that's how I would want it shipped to me. I have never had a problem with priority flat rate shipping and think I will stick with it. Fanned You
Beautiful ring. I'm getting a lot of this on some of my items. Either there's a problem w/the shipping, or they want me to add more! What the heck? Hello? We are giving you FREE product...I too would stick w/the 4.95 flat rate, this is an expensive piece of jewelry.
i just don't get these people who complain about shipping being unemployed myself i totally understand . and if i truely want something i figure out how to come up with the money. DO BID IF YOU CAN'T PAY THE SHIPPING. Do you accept paypal ?
I have sent out lots of packages, it will not cost more than $2.00 max. If you was doing free shipping, you would get alot of bids. Alot of people will not bid because you are charging for shipping. I am going to bid, but I know it not going to only cost about $2.00 to ship. thanks.
I have know Idea what you are talking about I just shipped a ring today and asked the post what would be the cheapest way to send it with delivery confirmation and it was over $2.00. I am not making extra money on the shipping, I am only allowed to charge you the exact amount it cost me to ship it. If you don't the shipping charges then don't bid on my stuff.
Yeah I understand u need n want shipping but u should b able do 4no more than 2bucks in US. I do. Like lady said a regulare envelope stick it in cheap card n toilet paper or something to safty it n tape all edges,n u can get free tracking confirmation even on paypal or UPS.com. hope helps. Won't cost u that much ;) I know 4sure u can look at my sight I've sold lota jewelry too. I know n if u every buy packaging get it in bulk cheaper at Walmart.thanks cuz I like but lil much shipping for me but I do understand!
If you wrap it well and put it in a envelope, and wrap envelope in tape all over,it would only cost you maybe 2.00 to send,to Canada,as i have shipped many rings this way.I would bid, only if u gave free shipping to Canada.I do the same for my auctions of rings, always free shipping Canada or to USA.
