Back in 2006 Russ Berrie and the International Star Registry created the Shining Stars! Shining Star Friends are plush animals identifiable by the crystal-like star embroidered on their paw. Along with the Shining Stars Plush Friend you can have your name officially recorded with a star in the sky by the International Star Registry. Using the unique secret code found inside the tamper resistant hangtag on each Shining Star Plush you can access the Shining Stars Website to Register your Star Name, access games and activities for kids, and interact with other Shining Star owners in a safe environment.

The secret code allows you to log on to www.shiningstars.com, register and name a real star with the International Star Registry. The secret code also allows you unlimited access to the virtual Shining Star World. System Requirements - Pentium 111 800 MHz or higher, Windows OS 98/2000XP, Ram: 128MB recommended, Browsers: Internet Explorer 6, Netscape 7.2, AOL 9.0 with Flash 8 installed, Resolution: 800x600, minimum high speed internet recommended. Once again please note that I am not 100% sure the offer is still valid.
