This is a neat auction. I don't think that most people have heard of this brand before. I tried Penhaligon's Orange Blossom, but wasn't very impressed by it. =/ Maybe I tried the wrong scent. Which one(s) do you find the nicest? I am very curious about Penhaligon's and your auction, but I'm worried maybe I won't like them? Are there any perfumes that you could name that may be similar to some of these so I have an idea of what the scents are like?
Orange blossom is not I. This set..not familiar with th as t one...people have different tastes ..some go for lighter scents....these are a stronger scent (parfum) they are sold In stores such ss Saks fifth Avenue.....included sre Artesmisia, Malabeh, Quercus, Lavendula, English Fern, Endymion, Lily of the Valley, Beenhrim Bouquet, Bluebell, and Hamman Bouquet. My fsvorite is Bluebell.
I know what you mean Shirley, my jewelry is a high quality handmade jewelry and I never get what they are worth. In fact I'm losing money and may have to stop offering it on this site at all...
You just never know on here...sometimes some things go high that you do not expect but yes shipping is so high, I am losing money on the shipping, as well.
I'm new to Listia as well, just learning the ropes, and learning from all examples. It helps to know how much s/h is in your area. Where I live it's fairly cheap, so when I do auction (I will list perfume samples as much as I can in future since they are my thing) I've got a good ball park idea of how much I'll be spending. I tend to see it as an investment in someone else's good day. I don't see Listia as a place to make money, but to share happiness! Keeping that attitude helps so when I lose an auction, it's okay, too. This is all supposed to be fun.
As for this auction, I would love to win, and if I do, and if there are scents that don't mesh with me, I will offer them up in a equally low priced auction! I promise <3
I have been on Listia for some time...no one expects to make money...when shipping clothes, heavy items, etc is when you get into heavy shipping costs...it doez not look like you have had any auctions yet.Good luck.
I also plan on sending little gifts in return to the folks who send me what I win via Listia auctions. I'm waiting on a few coming in the mail this week. I can't wait! It's so wonderful to plan these gifts :-)
Oh, I can't help it gotta give you ladies a hint/tip: I have found a lot of bulk perfume sample sites that sell sets like this dirt cheap! So don't feel bad, shirleysowden7, if you'd like to make more points in future on an auction like this, check out places like www.bonanza.com where they give the lowest low down online price.
I plan on purchasing TONS of samples like Anni Sui's Night of Fancy here: http://www.bonanza.com/listings/Anna-Sui-Night-Of-Fancy-1-2ml-04fl-Oz-X-5-Perfume-Sample-Vial-Mini-Lot/135276699?gpid=21297750541&gpkwd=&goog_pla=1&gclid=Cj0KEQjwx4yfBRCt2rrAs-P5vtkBEiQAOdFXbfKcU5WVTNIuCInPwFY9XReAmRHqMEVCgE8wPvS3VG0aAqOQ8P8HAQ
I think I know which collection this is! Just based on the photo, this includes these scents?
Quercus: Fresh, as warm as English oak; strong stable and modern. Sartorial: This skillful reinterpretation of a classic fougere is the perfect illusion of a Savile Row workroom. Opus 1870: A complex and elegant woody chypre. Wonderfully warm and comforting. Endymion: A study in contrasts; spicy and fresh, strong deep. Artemisia: Subtle and warm; nectarine, jasmine, tea and lily over precious woods and amber. Lily of the Valley: Fresh, green, delicate, the perfume of innocence and love. Malabah: Exotic, cool and confident, for the born traveller; spices, lush flowers, precious woods, zingy top notes. Ellenisia: An extravagant floral with armfuls of heady white blooms wrapped in sweet plub and vanilla. Bluebell: The pure and unadulterated scent of a bluebell wood; floral, sweet and wonderfully earthy.
If I'm right, yeah, this is an awesome collection <3 *excited*
