The listing, Peanut Cactus - 5 pieces has ended.
Echinopsis Chamaecereus or Peanut cactus. It is a small clumping cactus native to Argentina. GREAT plant for a beginner! It does its growing in the summer and fall therefore it needs more water and fertilizer then. It is a very forgiving plant. Is hardy to 20 degrees and takes heat well. Prefers bright filtered light but can tolerate some morning sun, but no direct summer sun. Blooms in the spring and early summer. Its stems can grow up to 6" or more. They are about 2/3" in diameter and are easily detached at their base. Also root very easily. The blooms are 1/2 to 2". This one has bright orange blooms as you see from the pictures of mine. Each year it has bloomed more profusely. I started it from 3 small cutting.
