It has many uses! I use mine at night to read so it doesn't bother hubby! You can buy those little adapter plugs at a dollar store which will allow you to plug a usb cord directly into the wall. Then you can use it wherever there's an outlet and not just when it's attached to your computer/laptop. My husband uses one out in the garage for all sorts of things since he can bend it into any position it comes in really handy.
