6 inches long 1 1/2 inches across hand made cobalt blue eye.--much wider to the bottom of the wisk (3 inches). and hand gathered,thick, heavy, curly" Grass" of some kind I have never seen before and hand stitched... Very sturdy!! Very attractive! Quite a conversation piece!
NOTE! you can even attach to your belt or belt loop.. It's the real deal. I bought this years ago from an elderly man who had been a world traveler, collecting oddities. Some of what I bought are in museums now.I bought it in a wild rainstorm--a benefit estate sale was closing hurridly and I scooped up a bunch of highly collectible stuff!! I cannot testify to this item.s powers--I wrote down what he told me when we went in to shelter You are" supposed to brush yourself off before re-entering your door so you carry nothing negative in with you after being out--whereve"r--and this I related to you as was told to me. by the old man , so "when you exit hang it on a hook (not a nail) at your door " I opted to keep this strange item. and yes--I did use it a few times when I felt "threatened"!
