Got this info from the AMC website regarding the difference...

Q. Are there any restrictions on the AMC Gold Experience™ tickets?
A. No, there are no restrictions. They’re even good for special engagements.
Silver Tickets cannot be used for Special Engagements, which are noted at the box office and are typically the first 10-14 days of a film's release.
