~These have never been taken out of their plastic packaging.
~If you have ever heard of Ben's Bells, that is where these are from. The idea is that you 'Pass it Along', kind of like paying it forward. You give one of these to a person who you appreciate or has done something kind for you. And then that person gives it to someone else for being kind to them, and so on and so on.
~You can also use them as charms, there is no rule that says you absolutely have to pass it along.
~They could also be very handy with 'managing' children and helping them understand the concept of kindness! :-)
