The listing, Chinese Celery - Kintsai Variety - Heirloom, Non GMO Seeds - For Authentic Asian Cooking! has ended.

Chinese Celery
Celery - or Apium graveolens - is something usually thought of as a salad food. However, the original wild celery had a number of more interesting uses, such as being made into garlands to be worn at funerals, or used as a pot-herb.
According to The Oxford Companion to Food, the Chinese have been using celery since the 5th century AD. Chinese celery is quite different from regular celery, which is European in origin. (Chinese celery originated in a form of wild celery found in Asia). Chinese celery is smaller and more delicate than the common American celery. The stalks are much thinner, hollow, and the color can range from white to dark green. Along with a different appearance, Chinese celery has a much stronger flavor. It is seldom, if ever, eaten raw, but is a popular addition to soups and stir-fries. Just chop up the entire plant and toss it in with other vegetables.
Chinese celery grows best in a cold climate (60-75 F), making it perfect for fall planting. Plants may need shading if grown in warm summer season. Seeds are very small and several unique characteristics are observed for the seed germination - germinating best in cold condition (50-60 F). Soil should be kept moist during the seed germination and seedling growth stage.

Auction is for 200 plus seeds.....they are very small and hard to count....two large pinches of seed. These were packaged by Kitizawa Seed for the 2014 growing season.

For authentic Asian cooking use authentic Asian herbs.....they're easy to grow and really make a difference to the taste of your dish.

Thanks for looking - good luck with your bid.
