This is a beautiful pin with a lot of fine detail, such as texture to the leaves and petals - it would almost make you believe it was an actual rose layered in gold :-)
I don't know much about the pin other than it was my nana's. I know Giovanni jewelry is produced today but she passed 10 years ago so I know it's at least that old. It does have a couple of spots of tarnish on it. They are pretty small but I think with a good cleaning they would come off. Even without a good cleaning they're only noticeable up close.
The pin is about 3" long.
