Vetch Cody the smart cub. He is brand new and has only been taken out of the box. He has never been set up. (Tab is still in place). All you have to do is plug a USB cable into him and the computer and go to the vtech website. There's instructions on how to personalize him. I copied a few instructions from the website on how to set him up:

PERSONALIZING YOUR CUB You can personalize Cody The Smart CubTM with your child’s name, birthday, favorite things, special days, music and more by connecting to the VTech® Learning LodgeTM. SOFTWARE INSTALLATION Before you can connect the VTech® Cody The Smart CubTM to your computer, you need to install the VTech® Cody The Smart CubTM software on your computer. To obtain the VTech® Cody The Smart CubTM software, please go to the VTech® Cody The Smart CubTM download site at http://www.vtechkids.com/download and download the setup file. Once the setup process is complete, connect the VTech® Cody The Smart CubTM to the computer using a USB cable. Locate the USB port on the battery box inside your cub and connect your cub to the computer with the included USB cable.
