Up for auction is this captivating sterling silver ring size 6, stamped 925. The breathtaking oval cut garnet is flanked by eight wavy lines of baguette cut peridots, amethysts, morganites and pink topaz stones. Fourteen of these same gems in round cut march along the bottom and top of all. Garnet is the birthstone of January, amethyst is that of February, peridot is that of August, morganite is that of October and topaz is that of November.

These stones are laboratory created, but their properties, chemical, optical and physical, are identical to that of naturally occurring stones. Man made gems are much hardier than their naturally occurring cousins, not so subject to temperature change, drying out, cracking or grazing.
