Questions & Comments
Your not offering any sort of certification, im not saying its definitely fake but a real collector can't base a decision of real or fake on somebody's word alone. So it value is that of a fake one for now until it is proven.
Your opinion and thanks for it, but in the generation I was bought up in your word is golden and my rating shows that. That is what is wrong during this day and age nobody's word means anything someone will lie to you for no reason you have a choice believe me or not and if not that's perfectly fine Good luck in life if your word doesn't mean anything to people I guess that's your problem but with people I know my word equals truth besides I'm a christian and believe in God and in the long run he's the one that will judge me and that's all I care about is HIS OPINION
^ this guy should at least do a visual comparison of your card and a certified auto , before he starts spreading his pessimistic views. The way I see it is if you believe it's real then it's real, as we age we seem to doubt and question everything. Say for arguments sake this card is fake and you, and only you, know that and you give that card away to a kid who envies the athlete and wants to be just like him. This kid will be filled with joy at first sight. He does not say "oh, cool, but are you sure this is real and it's not a fake?" No the kid gives you the of the doubt, why? Because he wants to believe its real, so he can feel closer to the athlete. Sure authenticity is a important aspect of collecting autographs, but sometimes it's better to just enjoy things for the emotion they give you.
As for this card I do believe it is real, I've been a collector for 15 years now and I have some certified pieces worth $1000- $2000 as it sits and more to the right buyer. I have pieces I got in person that I don't need to certify because I don't need to sell them (just got a couple at bears training camp!), and I have some pieces I receive from friends, family or on here that one could question the authenticity of, or they could omit the personal story (sorry Beth) do a visual comparison between a couple other autos and make a educated decision on the authenticity. Sure I've thrown some fakes away, but I've kept more "questionable" autos to display and hopefully give to my grandkids one day. Ok I'm done, that was my rant for the day, thanks!
Thank you my friend and I'm glad I have a fellow friend here on listia that is one of the reason I love the site 1- for the items that I get that maybe I wouldn't be able to get any other way then free on here people seem to forget this if it's not what it says that's what the dispute button is for and what are you really out its FREE and 2- for people like you the friends I've made there are some that I know I've never meet but that I now talk to outside of listia and I love like a old friend thanks! Don't be so easilly offended. It can be as real as you are but it still holds no value unless proven, most people who get something like this signed in person have a picture taken with to signer signing the piece.
That definitely looks genuine. Urlacher hasn't changed his signature. All real Urlacher autographs look the same and this one is real. Judging by all the watchers you have on this, most people believe it is real.
